Dan Harrington is one of the great poker players of our time. Know for his cool and calm style, you'll often find Dan Harrington quietly considering his next move under the brim of his green Boston Red Sox hat. Harrington was born in Cambridge Massachusetts in 1945, so it's fitting that he is a red sox fan! Like many famous poker players, Dan Harrington has been thrown into the mainstream by the poker explosion on television. Harrington has won over two million dollars from the World Poker Tour alone.

 

Highly regarded as one of the tightest players around, Harrington has strict requirements for his starting hands. Time and again, the top professionals say that starting hand selection is one of the most important skills you must ever learn. Dan Harrington's great skill and patience has been helping him get to the money in tournaments for over twenty years. He entered his first WSOP in 1987 and won his first title in 1995.

 

In recent years Dan Harrington has used his great knowledge of the game to author several books on poker.
